“LEELA” is a Devanagari typeface designed over a period of 5 weeks as a classroom project under the guidance of the Ektype Type Foundry . Sticking to the concept of play and exploration, the process followed in designing the typeface ive named it “ Leela” meaning play, comfort beauty and grace. In Arabic it also means dark or night beauty linking to the sharp diamonds resembling to the night stars.
